Restaurants

Here's a list of some of the restaurants we have enjoyed during our trips to Texas wineries.

Fredericksburg
Vaudeville Bistro - Modern American Bistro, a style not often seen in Federicksburg,  It's in the basement level of the Vaudeville storefront with a classy build-out.  Everything we've had here has been well executed showing the kitchen is on top of their game.

Cabernet Grill - Fine dining Hill Country Style, widely accepted as one of the better restaurants in Fredericksburg.  They have an extensive list of Texas wines.  Get the buffalo enchiladas.

Farm Haus Bistro at the Fredericksburg Herb Farm - A great spot for brunch.  Take some extra time to walk around the grounds of the Herb Farm.

Ranch Road Roasters - Great on-site roasted coffee.  My go-to coffee spot in Fredericksburg.  They have limited hours, so check Facebook/Google ahead of time.

Burnet
Bill's Burgers, Wings, and Things - They made Texas Monthly's list of top 50 burgers in Texas.  Great burgers and fries at very reasonable prices.  They might even have a band playing outside on the weekends.

Comfort
High's Cafe and Store - High's is a really cool spot in Comfort.  Excellent sandwiches, soups, coffees, and baked goods.

Dripping Springs
Pieous - Great pizza, pastrami, and desserts just east of Dripping Springs.

Rolling In Thyme and Dough - Hang out, have a sandwich, maybe a salad, and definitely dessert.

Mazama Coffee - A serious coffee shop that uses coffee from Cuvee Coffee out of Austin.  I usually feel the need to stop by for an espresso when driving through Dripping Springs.

McKinney
Harvest - Close to Landon Winery's spot on the square in McKinney, Harvest focuses on locally sourced foods.  The burger, ricotta cornmeal fritters, and  apple brown betty were all great.  They have an interesting menu, a good Texas beer list, and a few Texas wines by the glass.
