This is a bottle that shows how good of a wine Texas can deliver at the weekday bottle price point. One of my favorite wines at this price point, not just Texas wines but across the board. Red cherry and spice on the nose; On the palate it starts with red cherry, followed by some spice, cedar and tobacco (cigar box). Medium dusty tannins through the finish, medium body and acidity. Both easy drinking and interesting.
Composition: 78% Tempranillo, 8% Grenache, 7% Mourvedre, 4% Carignan and 3% Syrah from Lost Draw Vineyards in the Texas High Plains
Price: $10 at the Fredericksburg HEB (best price I've seen for this bottle), usually see it for around $12-$14.
