Visit: September 2016
Narrow Path Winery is a relatively new winery in the Hill Country, but the owners have been involved in growing grapes and wine making in Texas for over 10 years. Their tasting room is conveniently located on Main Street in Fredericksburg, making it easy to stop in to try their wines and learn more about their story. They currently have 9 wines on their menu, an impressive list for a young winery. Narrow Path has vineyard south of Hye where they have planted 3 acres of new vines this year, including Tempranillo, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Viognier. They source fruit from their vineyard, other Texas grape growers, and California, with a big effort to use more Texas fruit in the future. Their rose is made from 100% estate grown fruit. Bottle prices are very reasonable with most bottles in the twenties. We most enjoyed their Syrah and Texas Select Red, a Rhone-style blend.
