College Station, TX
Visit: July, 2016
Peach Creek Vineyards is an off the beaten path getaway just south of College Station and features a wide variety of wines all made from all Texas grapes. Their vineyard has several grape varieties planted that do well in Southeast Texas; Lenoir, Lomanto, and Muscadine. The property also features a large covered deck overlooking their pond and some really entertaining guineafowl.
The tasting room offers two tasting options: 5 tastes for $8 or 7 for $10. It was easy to find 7 wines we were interesting in trying when considering the depth of their offerings. Our favorite was their Regal Red, a Malbec. Be sure to check out Brazos Bend, a red-blend made with all estate grapes and blackberries. Peach Creek Vineyards is great place to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some wine on a lazy afternoon.
