2015 Texas Wine Festival at The Empty Glass

Texas Wine Festival at The Empty Glass - Tomball, TX - October 4th, 2015 - We had an opportunity to volunteer at the Texas Wine Festival at The Empty Glass in Tomball and were lucky to get to participate in a great event.  The Depot Park made for the perfect setting for an afternoon of exploring Texas wine and beer and for an overall very easygoing event.  I got to help 11 Below Brewing, a new brewery in NW Houston.  They have 3 beers showing up in more and more taps in the Houston area.  They're all well made beers, so grab one if you're at a bar or restaurant with one on tap.  Maria helped at the Landon Winery tent.  Bob Landon was there, so Maria has the opportunity to learn a ton about the Texas Wine Industry.  Bob is the president elect of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association and is eager to share his knowledge of wine making.  Other participating wineries included Bending Branch, Llano Estacado, Bernhardt, Messina Hoff, Los Pinos, and Dionisio.  Other breweries included Lone Pint and Karbach.  If you haven't been to The Empty Glass, be sure to check it out soon.  They have a great selection of Texas Wines and an overall great vibe.
