In the few years Lost Draw Cellars has been in Fredericksburg they have quickly become a must-stop for Texas wine enthusiasts. Lost Draw Cellars focuses on wines made from grapes from the Texas High Plains as one of the founding partners is Andy Timmons of Lost Draw Vineyards. Andy has been growing grapes for some of the best wineries in Texas for years and has moved to the next step with Lost Draw Cellars.
Having access to a wide array of grape varieties allows Lost Draw to continue to expand their already impressive portfolio of wines. They recently released a Picpoul Blanc that quickly sold out. We had the opportunity to try and take home a bottle of their new Carignan on our last visit.
The tasting room offers a Reserve Tasting Flight that gives visitors a chance to try 6 of their wines, and we enjoyed the wines through the whole fight. Their staff is always friendly and eager to share their knowledge about their wines, so Lost Draw Cellars is a great place to learn more about where Texas wine is heading.
